Dylan Krogh, 28, died of a fentanyl overdose in April 2021. His family waited months for the final toxicology report, and are now hoping to alert others to the danger of the drug. Looking at my gallery of the favorite images I made in 2022, I am struck by the variety of moments I captured. As I enter my 34th year as a photojournalist for The Spokesman-Review, I will continue to showcase the people and events that show the wholeness and complexity of the place we live.
